But, once you are used to it, blogging seems to be the most profitable business ever.

Let’s discuss some key blogging difficulties in the next part of this article.

6 Reasons Why Is Blogging Difficult?

Many people think blogging is difficult and search for a quick route to earn money from blogging. There is a common misconception in this discussion.

First of all, Yes, Blogging is difficult unless you are not ready for this cold, miserable, and hard facts.

  1. Newbies think that setting up a blog on WordPress and publishing some content on it is. Then they think that people will visit their blog posts and search engines will rank them.
Practically, you should promote your blog so that people can find you in the crowd.
  2. Failing to publish new posts consistently. Consistently means publishing high-quality articles at least twice or thrice a week. This activity makes search engines happy and helps to rank your blog in a better position.
  3. If your blog is brand new, search engines do not have any idea of what your blog is about. You have zero social followers, no likes, no shares, etc. Start building a network and grow your brand gradually.

In this article, we will be discussing some important topics. Also, we will find a solution to overcome the bottlenecks. In the end, if you are ready to change yourself you can see yourself blogging successfully.

1. Blogging Requires Hard Work

Working Cartoons

Blogging is not so easy unless and until you know to do it perfectly and strategically. Think about an Affiliate Marketer who knows what to say to attract potential visitors.

And knows how to communicate and express the product value, so they become customers.

It is not so easy for everyone, and it takes time for most of us.

When I first started my blog “onlinehomeincome.in” it took me almost a year to drive consistent traffic.

It took me six months to position my blog on the first page of Google search results.

I spend most of the time planning, researching, writing, and modifying the content and the blog layout.

The blog UI that you see now was the result of 100 different modifications.

There are a few lucky people who create an epic blog in a shorter period. But, it takes time for most of us. If you learn to avoid basic blogging mistakes, you can quickly reach your blogging success.

If blogging is easy, everyone will start one.

But, the truth is, it’s really hard.

Once you know the methods, procedures, and preparation, blogging can be the most successful business in your career.

2. Blogging Takes Time

Blogging Takes Time

You are not known to anyone other than your friends, neighbors, and your relatives. In this digital world, your blog is a new one. Nobody knows even you exist in the blogosphere.

Since Google is the most used search engine by people, it takes time for Google to know you are an expert.

It will take some months for you to create a few informative and interesting articles. People do not trust you on their first visit, and it takes time to prove yourself.

Google wants to understand you and your blog before positioning your blog post as relevant to the search results.

You will not see any traffic in your initial days, even from your friends and family. But, once you have patience and effort, soon you can reach top positions.

One thing you need to understand about running a successful blog is the time frame. And the work involved bringing your expectations and expressions to reality.

Not everyone who starts blogging survives. But, you can withstand it if you create relevant content regularly.

Invest some time to know your target audiences and learn to create content to meet their expectations.

It will take some months to make money blogging, and that’s why people ask me, is Blogging Difficult?

3. Blogging Requires Discipline and Self-Motivation

Be Discipline in Blogging

A famous proverb says, “You cannot always be motivated, and you must learn to be self-disciplined.”

Newbie bloggers are often demotivated, after seeing few or no results in their first few months.

Because people think blogging is a get-rich-quick scheme. Just publishing a random post and displaying some ads or promoting a product will earn them money.

If you have a similar mindset, please stop blogging. It is not for you.

Whenever you feel exhausted, ask a few questions as listed below to yourself:

  • Why did you start this blog?
  • What makes you create this passive income system?

And this ideology also will not always work. You should learn to be self-disciplined.

Prepare a timetable and follow it daily.

  • Write new blog posts for publication, social media, and emails.
  • Invest in social media and meet new bloggers, gurus, and achievers.
  • Always run behind in expanding your blog network.
  • Never take rest and always keep moving (means work)

Remember your ultimate goal is to start a blog and create a passive source of income.

Over time, you will stay motivated by following a disciplined activity. It’s common that when you follow an activity for 48 days, it will become your habit.

Make blogging a habit, and ultimately it will bring you success. Get motivated, follow discipline, and make it a habit.

Now I run six successful blogs in six different niches in 2021. This achievement is the result of my 7+ years of hard work.

4. Blogging Needs a Paperwork

Blogging Requires Paperwork

The first intent of a blog is to provide a solution or information for people’s search. That’s why people visit your blog, believing that they can find a clarification or an answer.

Also, they show interest to know behind the scenes. We solely never accept all that goes through our minds and the stuff we read.

People have enough awareness to find the source of information. That’s why I have published an about section on my blog.

Visitors want to see who is behind the blog and contributing to the content. Whether the value you provide will help them or not makes them come back again.

In another article, I have clearly described how to grow your audience and keep them visiting regularly.

Read the article once to understand the real value of a blog.

Show yourself as an expert in your field so that people will understand your paperwork.

It helps to build trust with your audience and increases your credibility. Ultimately, helps to rank your blog in the top position on all relevant search queries.

You have to prepare a plan before starting a blog. It includes your content writing protocol, link building, SEO activities, and promotional activities.

Trust is a very crucial point in achieving a better position in blogging. No one will trust you on day one.

Proper paperwork can put you in a safe zone, as you know what and how to act without damaging your reputation.

5. You have to Market, Promote, and Announce

Rank in Google Search

You can call the marketing process using other names such as publish, broadcast, transmit, communicate, etc.

But, you need to market your blog and promote it in all possible ways you can.

Many newbie bloggers think that, once they publish the article, their duty is over.

They imagine Google will index and rank their article. Thousands of people will visit their blogs from search engines.

Then, they show ads or promote affiliate products and make money.

But, the reality is entirely different, and you should understand that the actual work starts from here.

An Example,

You are planning to set up a Physical Store to sell Gold Ornaments. Tell me where you will do the setup.

A prime location where people gather (or) a remote place.

Obviously, you will set up your store in a crowded location and continuously promote your store.

Same way,

No matter how informative your post is, if you don’t promote your blog, you will miss the best part of your blog.

Your blog needs an extra push every time consecutively for some days. You can start by sharing on your social channels, sending email newsletters to your readers, etc.

Other methods to increase your blog traffic are building backlinks, commenting on other blogs, etc.

Finally, don’t get hold of it after publishing a post rather, proactively work to promote your blog post.

6. Ask Yourself Should You Blog?

Ask YourSelf

Well, this should be the first question of this article. But I added it in the last. Because people who ask a question without knowing about it will surely end up saying NO.

I always support and advise everyone to question everything. But asking blind questions will not bring any value to the conversation.

Is Blogging Difficult? Now, you answer this question.

If you are ready to put in hard work and effort over some time, with proper procedure, blogging is the right business for you.

That’s why I love Blogging. And blogging is not suitable for everyone. It requires skills and patience to work hard.

You should ask,

  1. Why do you want to start a blogging business?
  2. Did you select the right niche from your interest and passion?
  3. Do you have clear insights on the subject?
  4. What will you write about for your blog?
  5. Did you know your target audience?
  6. What makes your blog different, and why do others want to visit?
  7. How much time can you spend daily on your blog?
  8. What is your Blogging Goal, and where do you see yourself after a few years of blogging?
  9. Do you have any working strategy to market your blog?
  10. Will you blog consistently and post new articles regularly?

So, ask those above questions to yourself before you rush into an execution. You can think 1000 times before you begin. But once you start, you should never step backward.

Why is Blogging So Hard?

Blogging regularly is tough because you have to manage so many different activities. Publishing consistently is big trouble. Because we may run out of new blog post ideas or don’t have enough time to write an article?

When your blog grows, people expect more, and probably, you have to post more. You cannot always be a solo blogger, and you have to form a team to assign each one each task.

Prepare a timetable and schedule your blogging work across different areas. It includes content writing, SEO, link building, email newsletter sending, etc.

Stop falling sick on social media and utilize your time efficiently. Though, social media is essential for your success, and not overdo it.

Speak from your heart and show your expression in your content. Show that you are so much concerned about your audience.

I always use this technique to create different content types for blogs, online sessions, and video sessions.

Is Blogging Very Hard?

Yes, blogging is considerably hard at the beginning, that is when you just start and are about to grow. Because no one knows about your blog’s existence. It takes some time for people and search engines to know about your blogging. Till then, you have to put in effort in the following activities — keyword research, content writing, and marketing, SEO, and digital marketing.

Is Blogging Time Consuming?

Blogging is a business and not a job. Blogging works similarly to other businesses, and it will take time to see some revenue from your blog. First, you have to publish quality articles and get traffic to your blog get traffic from several digital platforms. Then, you have to integrate any monetization method like Adsense, Affiliate Marketing, or matching other Adsense Alternatives.

What is the Most Difficult Thing About Blogging?

According to me, the most challenging blogging process is creating valuable and helpful content. Writing an article is not as easy as you think. You cannot write about anything that comes to your mind. First, search for blogging ideas and create a proper content calendar. It will help you write amazing articles that help others.

Blogging is Not Popular in India

We all know television and radio is the only source of marketing for businesses. But after the invention of the Internet, online media changed traditional media.

Blogging and social media gained remarkable changes in the last few years. No one knows blogging is not just a hobby.

In India, blogging is still seen as a peculiar opportunity. India is recording new heights in several industries.

Most Indians are hard workers and the best thinkers. But they struggle when it comes to choosing a career.

We all thought to become an engineer, doctors, or lawyers. But, we never thought to become an entrepreneur (bloggers).

The few main reasons are:

No Awareness: Still, a large group of youngsters doesn’t know what is a blog, what is blogging, and how to earn from it.

Education System: Our education system teaches us to complete a degree and go for a job. Exam pressure, and much more.

Hunt for Quick Income: Everyone follows the thumb rule of getting a good job and earning a small monthly salary.

Family Pressure: Youngsters are taught to do a government job or join an MNC or a private company.

Not Ready to Take Risks: A majority of Indian people are not ready to take risks, and they live with what they earn from their salary.

This mindset should be cultivated and nurtured with good thoughts of becoming an entrepreneur.

In recent days, people in India see blogging as a good career opportunity.

Deep internet penetration, growing digital literacy, and success stories of Indian bloggers puts more weight on blogging.

Conclusion

Blogging is a reliable online business suitable for everyone. Anyone can be a random blogger, and it seems like a cakewalk.

But, being a successful blogger is not your cup of coffee. Sometimes, you need to prepare coffee by yourself.

If you are serious and trying to create a visible blog, you have to put in some great effort.

Running a successful blog by ranking at the top for all high-volume search queries is not so easy.

Maintaining a good readership and regular traffic requires you to come out of your comfort zone.

You are responsible for all aspects of running a blog like content writing, SEO, digital marketing, etc.

But once you learned and prepared yourself, you will see blogging as a simple business.

Now, you say, is blogging difficult? You have the answer now and start venturing into a new successful online career.
